The BRIDGE initiative participates in the EU Sustainable Energy Week (EUSEW) next June 2017 with a session focussed on the main messages to policy makers from the demonstration projects, with a particular emphasis on the latest legislative proposals of the European Commission, “Clean Energy for All Europeans”, published in November 2016. During this session, the Chairs of the four BRIDGE Working Groups will present their recommendations for facilitating the deployment of smart grids and energy storage solutions that could increase the share of production from renewable sources, in particular wind and solar, and contribute to decarbonising the European electricity system.
This seminar is to be held 22 June at the Charlemagne building (room Mansholt), Brussels, at 14:00 – 15:30. The title of the session is “BRIDGE — ACCELERATING SMART GRIDS AND STORAGE DEPLOYMENT BY REMOVING BARRIERS TO INNOVATION”. Seats are limited so do not forget to register as soon as possible!
Last but not least, the BRIDGE initiative is having a networking slot Wednesday 21st June at 9:00-12:30 where the initiative and its activities are to be presented.
